چکیده

The control of a robotic excavator is difficult from the standpoint of the following problems: parameter variations in mechanical structures, various nonlinearities in hydraulic actuators and disturbance due to the contact with the ground. The more the size of robotic excavators increase, the more the length and mass of excavator’s links; the more the parameters of a robotic excavator vary. A Time-Delay Control with Switching Action (TDCSA) using an integral sliding surface is proposed in this paper for the control of a heavy-duty robotic excavator. The proposed controller is applied to straight-line motions of a robotic excavator with a speed level at which skilful operators work. Experiments, which were designed for surfaces with various inclinations and over broad ranges of joint motions, show that the proposed controller exhibits good performance.

Time Delay Control with Switching Action using Frequency-Shaped Integral Sliding Surface

Recently the Time Delay Control with Switching Action (TDCSA) method has been proposed as a promising technique in the robust control area, where the plant has unknown dynamics with parameter variations and substantial disturbances are present. When TDCSA is applied to nonlinear system having frequency resonances, TDCSA reveals chattering problem or undesired vibration. This undesired vibration...

The Development of Anti-windup Scheme for Time Delay Control with Switching Action using Integral Sliding Surface

The Time Delay Control with Switching Action (TDCSA) method, which consists of Time Delay Control(TDC) and a switching action of sliding mode control(SMC), has been proposed as a promising technique in the robust control area, where the plant has unknown dynamics with parameter variations and substantial disturbances are preset. When TDCSA is applied to the plant with saturation nonlinearity, h...

Sliding Mode Control of a Bidirectional Buck/Boost DC-DC Converter with Constant Switching Frequency

In this paper, sliding mode control (SMC) for a bidirectional buck/boost DC-DC converter (BDC) with constant frequency in continuous conduction mode (CCM) is discussed. Since the converter is a high-order converter, the reduced-order sliding manifold is exploited. Because of right-half-plan zero (RHPZ) in the converter’s duty ratio to output voltage transfer function, sliding mode current...

This paper proposes a discrete-time repetitive optimal control of electrically driven robotic manipulators using an uncertainty estimator. The proposed control method can be used for performing repetitive motion, which covers many industrial applications of robotic manipulators. This kind of control law is in the class of torque-based control in which the joint torques are generated by permanen...

Force and Position Control for Electrohydraulic Systems of a Robotic Excavator

In impedance control of hydraulic excavators the piston position and ram force of each hydraulic cylinder for the axis control of the boom, arm, and bucket can be determined. The problem is thus how to find the control voltage applied to the servovalves to track these commands to the hydraulic systems. This paper presents analytic, simulation and experimental results for controllers that have b...
